Sign of the Times

I have finally become a card-carrying, drink-the-koolaid member of The Micropoets Society.

I kinda backed into micropoetry as a creative exercise, and I really enjoy it.  Maybe I have a short attention span, or maybe I want to just blow a little thought-bubble and let it float away, but, either way, micropoetry seems to fit just right.

The Micropoetry Society says:

Micropoetry is a genre of poetic verse which is characterized by its extreme brevity. In other words, a micropoem is a short poem. As a poetic artform, it doesn’t really have any rules. Although it does consists of certain forms of short poetry with fixed rules such as haiku, tanka, senryu and gogyohka.

Today, the Society published one of my micropoems titled "A Sign."  The link is HERE.  Thanks for looking.
