The Next Step

"Moon-Watcher felt the first faint twinges of a new and potent emotion. It was a vague and diffuse sense of envy--of dissatisfaction with his life.”
~Arthur C. Clarke, 2001: A Space Odyssey

My book, Random Stones, has been available for several weeks for your electronic pleasure, but I recently decided to work on a physical version.

Today, the proof copy came, and I had a surreal moment that reminded me of when the apes in 2001: A Space Odyssey first encountered the monolith.  I sort of screamed and squatted in the corner, running my hands over the smooth cover, over and over.

I'm sure that it was a normal reaction.  Hey, at least I did not fling my waste when my wife tried to touch it.  I'm highly evolved.
