Deer Haiku

I have started playing with Japanese poetic forms like haiku, haibun, and tanka.  Like a proper Japanese tea ceremony, a traditional haiku has a very traditional form and sensibility. But, modern haiku, especially the western interpretations, stray liberally from the tradition.

At least that's my excuse for heading off into the weeds.

I have submitted several pieces to several publications, and Three Line Poetry (from Prolific Press) has agreed to publish my first haiku in Issue 38 HERE.

Drink some green tea (or a beer) and enjoy!
